Hello all,
What is the situation in your latitudes regarding FM, to what extent is HD radio based on IBOC an issue and what are your experiences with this type of reception?

Currently there is a big discussion in Switzerland, our government has decided to switch off FM for commercial and non-commercial operation by the end of January 2023. In other words, anyone who wants to listen to
the radio in the future will have to buy a DAB+-capable device or switch to other distribution channels (internet or DVB-C/S), depending on what the broadcaster offers.
Personally, I am not a fan of DAB/DAB+, I prefer FM and was able to
enjoy HD Radio (IBOC) during 2 years in the field test, which convinced
me of this technology as a further approach to the FM frequency band. Unfortunately this technology is dead in Switzerland. I hope other countries have made a better decision here than Switzerland, which in effect orders the customer to enrich the entertainment industry by
having to buy a new receiver. In my eyes, this is modern robbery of the taxpayer.
Best regards
Alisha
