    Hey

I'm about to shut down my talismanbbs.com server. I want to get a more
powerful server for minetest, and that means juggling finances a bit.

I've made the documentation git repository public, (actually it's just
    the markdown for the website).

My Talisman BBS will be no longer, I wasn't keeping up with it anyway. (HappyLand will remain, and HappyNet is unaffected).

My magichat server will vanish, anyone is free to host their own, but it
seems like there's only room for MRC anyway.

My blog will disappear. Which isn't really a big deal except it's where
you get windows binaries of magiterm. I'm sure we can hatch them out here
if there are any new ones.

I'm not disappearing from BBSing. Happyland will keep running, I plan to
keep working on Talisman - but via gitlab.

    Andrew

Nah, the server it was on was a core 2 duo with 4Gb of ram. It was
running ok, but I think if we get more players it will really struggle.

So, now I have a Dual Xeon with 16Gb of ram. the bandwidth is also
bigger, 1 Gb instead of 100Mbit.

Oh, and it's all moved over now :)

No one should have to choose between Talisman BBS/doc site and a MineTest server! Let me help out with hosting or via donating, it's the least I can
do for all you amazing work on Talisman!! I literally won't take no for an answer.

Well, I will, if you insist, but seriously :)

That's very generous of you, let me think about it.

If you want to host it you could just clone the website:

    https://gitlab.com/apamment/talisman-www

it's a hugo site, so just a matter of running hugo and uploading the
    public stuff.

or you could fork it and add stuff or whatever, like hosted by alpha or
the drunken gamer or something. I'd even point the domain where you
    wanted it.

I guess right now I'm just really tired. The thought of maintaining documentation makes me want to lie down lol.

I don't know, I'll think about it. If you want to host it, feel free, but
no pressure, and I'm thinking I probably wont.

Yesterday I was looking into that SSH bug where if you quit when a door
is running, I don't know why but my eyes were really sore and my head was
sore. I think maybe might be a good idea to dial back my computer time a
    bit.

No hobby is worth drianing your life fore, my friend. Unplug! I'm sorry
if I have been adding undo stress with feature requests and gitlab issues.

To be honest, I'd rather be playing MineTest :)

I'd be happy to host the docs site. And PLEASE don't feel any pressure to address anything other than what makes you whole.

    Much love.

No no, not at all. I'm a little bit concerned about the SSH issue, but
have just been relaxed on the others.

Just the last few days been tired. Maybe it's too much infront of the
computer, maybe it's just too many late nights catching up.

I shelved my BSD fork, it's fun but I decided to shut down the web side
of that too, for the same reason as talismanbbs.com. So, now I have
windows 10 again, and for some reason working on talisman is so much
    easier in visual studio.

But yeah, don't worry about posting issues and such.

You learned a lot doing that though. Nothing wrong with shelving it,
it's one of those projects that if people started using it you'd be
working 20 hours a day on it anyway.

of that too, for the same reason as talismanbbs.com. So, now I have windows 10 again, and for some reason working on talisman is so much easier in visual studio.

Plus easier to test windows bugs. LOL

Will be updating to the binary in my inbound after I'm done this
    packet.
