  • Mystic Dialup Line

    Hello All,

    I ordered myself a POTS modem line and went hunting for configuration in
    Mystic and I don't see any configuration for a COM port. I don't suppose
    Mystic is Telnet/SSH only is it? Is anyone using a telephone line with Mystic?

    You can use SEXPOTS to answer the modem and then it will pass it to Mystic's telnet:

    http://wiki.synchro.net/util:sexpots

    I've use that on both Windows & a Raspberry Pi with Mystic and it worked very well for both.

    Super, thanks Jay I'll take a look and see what it can do! I am hoping to customize the front end, possibly allowing access to more than one BBS from that line. I still have lots of work to do on Alien Signals BBS first though.

    If you want to set it up to possibly check into a few different BBS' you can dial into wnbbs.wrgnbr.com:2300 (My Matrix start menu) or sysopsolaris.ddns.net:2323 (I stole the idea from him). These are 2 Matrix menus which allow you to use a Mystic front end as a way to connect to different BBS' Just send sexpots to a port which runs a Mystic Matrix menu and have it connect to whatever BBS you want.. :)
